Registration & Submission Information
Welcome to the official registration information page for the SANG Essay Writing Competition 2026. Participants can register either through their school or directly through a parent/guardian using the solo registration option. Please read the details below carefully before completing your registration and submitting your essay.
Registration Options
School Registration
Schools can register their students for the competition at a fee of ₦25,000 for 5 students per slot. Each school is allowed to register a maximum of 2 slots, giving more students the opportunity to participate and represent their school. This option is suitable for schools that want to submit their best student writers for the competition and stand a chance to receive both student and institutional recognition.
Solo Registration
Solo Registration is available for parents or guardians who want to register their child directly for the competition. The fee is ₦10,000 per student, and each registered contestant will participate as an individual entry. This option is ideal for young writers whose schools may not be registering as a group but who still want the opportunity to showcase their writing talent and compete for prizes and recognition.
How to Complete Registration
After making payment, all participants must complete their registration through the official competition platform:

Essay Submission
All essay entries must be submitted via email to:
For School Registration, schools are to submit the top 5 student essays for each registered slot. Each essay must clearly include the student’s name, age, gender, and school.
For Solo Registration, parents or guardians are to submit one essay for their child. The essay must clearly include the child’s name, age, and gender.
All essay entries must be submitted on or before 30th June 2026. Proof of registration fee payment should also be attached to the submission email.
Originality Requirement
Only original essays written by the contestants will be accepted. The use of artificial intelligence or any form of copied content will lead to automatic disqualification. Contestants are expected to follow all competition rules and ethical writing standards.
Qualifications & Eligibility
To participate in the SANG Essay Writing Competition 2026, applicants must be between 10 and 18 years old at the time of entry. Participants must either be registered through their school under the School Registration option or directly by a parent/guardian under the Solo Registration option. All contestants must complete registration by 30th May 2026 and submit their essay by 30th June 2026.
Next Stage
Selected contestants will be invited to the semi-final and final stages, which will run alongside the competition’s training program in August. Contestants who advance to the next round, attend the summer training program, and complete the competition will receive certificates.

Trophy + Gold Medal + Cash Prize + Exclusive Packages
The winner will also receive international recognition for themselves and their school.
2nd Place

3rd Place

School Recognition
Winning schools will receive institutional recognition, and the Top 3 Schools will each receive a trophy.
